GOOD BOUT AT WELLINGTON. PURDY DEFEATS McOARTHY. ( 11Y TEEEGUAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION-' WELLINGTON, Dec. 3. In a fast, clever contest, which was •almost savagely fought over the last two rounds, Charlie Purdy outpointed Bert McCarthy. Purdy was more aggressive than hitherto and won by a fair margin of points. It was the best bout seen Vocally for years.
