RIFLE SHOOTING.

CADET SHOOTING. Throughout New Zealand teams of ten cadets, under 16 years of age, and representing the various companies, have just completed the shooting for the Weekly Press challenge shields, which are allotted, one to each island. The local town company of cadets fired yesterday and registered a very creditable .score, as follows:

Team average: 63.9, out of 68. The possible points were; Application 28, rapid 40, total 68.

The No. 8 (Taranaki) Regimental district rifle meeting will be held at New Plymouth, on Saturday, February 5, and Saturday, February 12, 1927. The rifle meeting is an annual one, for which entries are received from all over Taranaki.
