A LUCKY WEEK.
To-day, beside the dustbin, I found a little bond, It’s not so very 'broken, And not so very whole. On Tuesday, near the tool shed, I found a bit of chain; It’s rather red and rusty With lying in the rain. But haven’t I been lucky? Before the week is up Perhaps. I’ll find a collar, A kennel, and a pup. A basin for his water, A chain to hold him fast; I’m bound to find a puppy Before, the week is past. —Sent bv Emma Leuthard
