FIRE.
£IOOO DAMAGES AT TE AROHA. (BY TELEGRAPH PRE«? ASSOCIATION.) HAMILTON, Nov. 10. Damage estimated at £IOOO was done to the premises of the Farmers’ Trading Company at Te Aroha this morning by an outbreak of fire which occurred at 2.30 a.m. The fire appears to have originated outside of the building. The whole of the rear was completely gutted. All the office effects were destroyed. The stock was extensively damaged by fire and water, while in Loveridge’s boot shop, which adjoined, the stock suffered damage from water. The Farmers’ Trading Company’s premises were in an old building owned by Mr R. L. Somers. The property was insured. The amounts are not available.
