GERMAN MONARCHISTS
BUSY SCENES AT DOORN.
A COUP CONTEMPLATED? KAISER’S WIFE INVOLVED. BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGKT. LONDON. Nov. 8. The British United Press says that there is a distinct movement afoot m Doom tor the ex-Kaiser to return to Germany. “To the outside world the announcement may come as a surprise, but to the inhabitants of Doom it- has been obvious for months. Scores of prominent members of the ex-Kaiser’s party have been miaking trips to Doom, ana recently a number of conferences have been held. There have been frequent talks between the visitors and Princess Hermine, but Count Finkenstein, who manages the ex-Kaiser’s -affairs, has not participated in these. “The telephone is constantly busy, and the work of the postman, land telegraphists ,has 'multiplied considerably during the-past- weeks. Nothing is deliv. ered direct to the house, but-everything is left at the lodge where Count Finken stein works. Princess Hermine, and Count- Finkenstein, both suddenly departed for Germany. “•Persistent reports are current that Wilhem’s former Homburg CJastle is undergoing minor repairs. Weeks and possibly months will be necessary for preparing the groundwork, -but is_ firmly believed in Doom that the ex-Kaiser, sooner or later, will make a dash over the frontier.’’ . It is pointed out that similar happenings were connected with tlie Crown Prince, and that there were repeated denials until one day a- large grey car sped through Holland to Germany. The same thing, it is contended-, will happen with the ex-Kaiser.
