MEMBER SUSPENDED. REMARKS NOT WITHDRAWN. (py TELEGRAPil —PRESS ASSOCIATION .) WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. At the meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, the chairman, Mr R. W. McVilly, moved that Mr E. Wilton, representing the West Coast of the North Island, be suspended for declining to withdraw offensive remarks, and that a special meeting be called to consider the result. Mr Wilton had resigned, but was re-elected by his centre. The remarks objected to were that the council was a body of 3how men. The motion mas carried. It was stated that the American team might arrive about January 3, and it was, decided to send a cable message asking for definite information.
