Of 400 sovs. One mile. 6 Rascal 3 Hynana 2 7 David Garrick 3 Scratched: Mister Gamp, -Precious, Olarenson, Cochy Bondhu, Sovena, Celerity IT., Corinthic, High Gear, Paper Bo>”, Gleninnis, Bornstell, Helen, Zarisee, Pink Terrace. Won by a neck. Time, 1.39 1-5. LINWOOD HANDICAP. Of 300 sovs. Seven furlongs. 10 Gold Mint 1 6 Ro.yal Game 2 3 Lucky Days 3 Scratched: Zarisee, Coupon, Mime, and Pink Terrace. Won by half a length. Time, 1.27. NEW ZEALAND CUP. Of 2100 sovs. Two miles. 4 -Count -Cavour I 2 Desert Glow 2 5 Overdrawn 3 Overdrawn was coupled with Ravenna. Scratched: Beacon Light. Won by a length. Time, 3.26 1-5. THE RACE DESCRIBED. In the New Zealand Cup F. C. Porter rode the winner, which wonby a length. Overdrawn led 'must of the way, with Ravenna uni -Desert -Glow prominent until the stvdight was entered. Count Cavour was well back, also Rapine, most of -die way. Count Cavour was fourth just beyond the distance and going strongly” went on to win. Overdrawn was a length behind Desert Glow. Rapine was fourth. Th -Cup was presented to Mr [Barrett by the Hon. R. F. Bollard, and his win was very popular. THE AUCKLAND MEETING. LYSANDER WINS THE GUINEAS. AUCKLAD, Nov. 6. The A.It.C. spring meeting opened in cloudy weather after a rainy night. The course was rather heavy. There was a large attendance GORDON HANDICAP. Of 325 sovs. One mile. (First division).
