THE RACE DESCRIBED. In the New Zealand Cup F. C. Porter rode the winner, which wonby a length. Overdrawn led 'must of the way, with Ravenna uni -Desert -Glow prominent until the stvdight was entered. Count Cavour was well back, also Rapine, most of -die way. Count Cavour was fourth just beyond the distance and going strongly” went on to win. Overdrawn was a length behind Desert Glow.
