TRAGIC LANDSLIDE
FOLLOWED BY FLOOD. DEATHS AT PEREIRA. MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 1.5 p.m. to-day. BOGOTA, Nov. 5. The toll of casualties by floods at Pereira is now placed in excess of one hundred dead and sixty injured. The inhabitants of several houses were buried by the landslide. The digging out of the victims is continuing, but will not be completed for several days. [A message yesterday” stated: News from Bogota, the capital of the State of Colombia, South America, announces that twenty-seven people are known to be dead and forty were injured as a result' of an enormous landslide, which blocked the river Otun, turning its water on to the village of Pereira, in Caldas province.]
