BOOKMAKER'S ’ .STRIKE. BV CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Nov. 4. The bookmakers again picketed the Windsor racecourse and betting -has been held up throughout practically the whole country. A large force of bookmakers at Paddington Station wore rosettes and distributed leaflets appealing to British sportsmen as a protest against the unfair tax on turnover. "We ask you,” the leaflet said, "to refrain from attending racecourses until the tax is made workable for everyone.” Tt is expected that the strike will end this week-end. Leading bookmakers, in conference decided that they were Satisfied with having made a protest against the tax, and betting will be resumed at Xowburv to-dav.
