On the application of the police, he was remanded in custody till Friday ' next. LIQUOR SOLO IN NO-LICENSE AREA. INVERCARGILL. Nov. 5. 'At the Police Court Chin Tew, a Chinese shopkeeper was fined £SO for keeping liquor for sale in a no-license district. Sing Gee, an assistant, was fined £5. The evidence showed that youths were supplied with very potent Chinese brandy and whisky.
