SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST A FARMER. (.BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) MARTON, Nov. 5. A middle-aged man named Joseph -<"T James Lyons, a well-known farmer residing at Pnkeore, near Huntervil'e, appeared at the Court this morning, and was charged with committing incest. On the application of the police, he was remanded in custody till Friday ' next. LIQUOR SOLO IN NO-LICENSE AREA. INVERCARGILL. Nov. 5. 'At the Police Court Chin Tew, a Chinese shopkeeper was fined £SO for keeping liquor for sale in a no-license district. Sing Gee, an assistant, was fined £5. The evidence showed that youths were supplied with very potent Chinese brandy and whisky.
