Harriet Hammond, the ex-Sennett beauty is the maid. This picture will be here on Saturday for two performances, ii conjunction with “The Hardeens,” dir ect from the Fuller Theatre. The Har deens will present something entirely new in the way of legerdemain. Mo.si of these cabinet performances in the past have been done with the doors oi the cabinet closed. This is the hist occasion on wnich such an act has beer performed with the cabinet wide open to tbe view of tbe audience. It wiil be plainly shown how fraudulent tricksters deceive the unwary. The entertainment is one of weird and uncanny happenings, of invisible wonders, transformations, arid hiystikcation, surpassing the genii ccf the Arabian Nights. Here you will find the wonders of materialisation levitation and other occult mysteries. They will appear at the matinee at two o’clock and eight o’clock in the evening.
EMPRESS PICTURES, MANAIA. TO-MORROW NIGHT. “The Bridge of Sighs,” the new Master picture that will be shown at Manaia on Saturday, has been picturised from the story of Charles K. Harris, which he wrote around his famous song of the same name. Four people—two fathers, a son, and a daughter— uTe the important features in a drama that plumbs the deepest pits of life and weaves a tense story around the reckless spirit of youth and the sacrificing love that suffers for others. Creighton Hale and Dorothy Mackaill, both players of wide popularity, head the cast.
