FIREWORKS DISPLAY.

GUY FAWKES COMPETITION. An additional feature has been added to the programme for Friday’s fireworks display and procession, Mr. W. Hawkins having arranged for a Maori party to take part The party, in a motor lorry, will join in the procession and promise to enliven proceedings on the way to the show grounds. Afterwards dances and hakas will be performed in front of both grandstands. We are. informed that special arrangements will be made for the sale of admission tickets in the vicinity of the Borough Chambers as well as at the entrance to the show grounds, the object being the convenience of those who wish to be present at the judging of the Guy Fawkes competitors and thereafter follow the procession, and to avoid congestion at the gates.
