LOCAL STOCK SALES. Tlie Tanners ’ Co-op. Organisation Society, Ltd., reports as follows: — At Hawera on Thursday we had a heavy yarding of all classes of cattle. There was a large attendance of buyers and bidding was brisk throughout. Eat cattle and' dairy stock close to prolit are still eagerly sought after. The following is a range of prices: Prime fat Hereiord cows £l2, fat heifers £9 las, fat cows £1) 12s tid to £ll 15s, forward cows £5 las to £7, 2-year P.A. steers £5 12s tid, boners £2 to £4 ss, canners bUs, cows with calves £2 5s to £3 10s, best yearling Jersey heifers £1 to £llos, others £1 las to £2 2s (id, 2-year ALT. heifers £4 17s (id, pedigree Jersey bull.? 10 to lb gas, best grade 2-year Jersey bulls £7 to £d 10s, others £4 to £(i, small hoggets 14s (id to 17s 3d, fat ewes 24s (id, shorn 2-tooth ewes 19s (id, wcaner pigs 15s to 245, medium store pigs 30s to £1 15s, large stores 36s to 455. ■ In the dairy pens there was a good yarding of cows and heifers, and these sold at good prices. At Waverley on Eriduy we submitted a heavy yarding of all classes of stock to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was brisk throughout and a good sale resulted.
