A Presis Association message from Whangarei announces the death of William Frederick Thompson, who lias been Government valuer for the North Auckland district for the past twenty years.
The Rev. James Aitken, of Gisborne, has been nominated by the Christchurch Presbytery as Moderator of the General Assembly.
Three Hawera students at the Sacred Heart Convent, Wanganui, scored well i.n the recent teachers’ examinations. Bryana Beeehey gained a complete pass; in Class I>, Louie Brady a partial in Class , wliire Zita Donnelly, besides completing two .sections in Class C. gained a bursary and a higher leaving certificate.
