A CHILD’S LETTER.
TO ALL BLACK FOOTBALLER. HAWERA GIRL’S NAME. SOUGHT. Some eighteen months ago, just after the All Blacks .returned from their victorious tour, a little girl in Hawera, by the name of Nancy and then eight yeans old, wrote to “Jack” Richardson, the Ibig Southland forward and v.ioeoaptaiin of the .team, (sympathising with his ill-fortune in Vancouver, where he broke a leg in an exhibition game. Nancy liked Mr. Richardson’s photograph and wrote hoping that he would r soon be well, and inquiring if he had a V little gi.nl like her. She was. living with her auntie, .she .said, her father and mother being dead. Mr. Richardson; whose heart was touched by the child’s concern at his accident, has. been anxious to get into touch, with her and say “Thank you.” To this end he has 'sought the assistance of The Star, and any relative or friend able to identify “Nancy” more particularly is urged to communicate with the editor.
