SPRING HORSE FAIR.

AUCTION AT HAWERA. The Farmers’. Clo-ope native Organisation Society of New Zealand, Limited, report [having 'held their annual horse flair in their ihprse [bazaar, Hawera, on Saturday last, when some, 120 horses came under the hammer. The entry was made up of a number of good useful farm and tpwn houses, together with the usual number o,f hacks and harness horses. There was a particularly large attendance of buyers,_ the whole of the districts of Taranaki being represented, also, a number oif outside alien from as far south as the Lower HDuity. Bidding was particularly keen foih, all classes for town and farm work and practically the whole entry changed! hands at prices -satisfactory to vendors; in fact the demand exceeded the supply, and several of the local buyers, did not obtain their ■requirement®. The, sale is the .best this agency has held for some, time.
