SIR ALAN COBH AM’S IDEAS
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Oct. 9. Sir Alan Cobham- was entertained at dinner by the Institution of Aeronautical Engineers. He said that the wing section,s of the machine in which he flew to Australia were designed in 1916, which proved that there were some aeronautical facts which.were unaltered, “Aviation is a question of development,” he said. “I do not think we shall ever ■ have some new machine that will revolutionise flying. People who are waiting for some patent machine in which they can land m their back garden will wait in vain.”
