WEDDING.

AST BUR Y—CL A R KE. / A very pretty and popular wedding was celebrated in All Saints’ Church, Eltharn, on Thursday, August 26, 1926, at 1 p.m., the contracting parties being Miss Ellen Welhvood Clarke and Mr Cyril Astbury, both of Mangatoki. The Rev. H. AY.' Monaghan officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a gown of ivory erpe de chine trimmed with nearls. A beautiful tulle veil caught with a coronet of orange blossoms completed her toilette, -and she carried a lovely bouquet of spring flowers and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended hv her sister, Miss Eileen Clarke, and Miss Gladys Linn as bridesmaids, looking very attractive in fain tv frocks of mauve corded taffeta and apricot crepe clialuneuse respectively, with hats to tone. Thev carried bouquets of anemones and maidenhair fern. The bride’s mother was attired in a navy gabardine costume, Mr L. Astburv acted as best man. and Air Harold Clarke as groomsman. A reception wasi held after the ceremony at the “Ivosv.’ where the usual toasts were dulv honoured, and the happy couple: left far the north l>v motor amid showers of confetti and good wishes by the assembled guests. The bride’s travelling dress was a navy bine ensemble suit and hdt to tone.
