DAIRY PRODUCE GRADING.
LAST SEASON’S AVERAGES. NINETY-TWO POINTS OR OVER, The New Zealand Journal of Agriculture for September gives lists of butter and cheese factories _respective]y throughout the Dominion which obtained an average grading of 92 points or over for their export produce during the last dairy year, i.e., from August 1, 1925, to July 31, 1926. The lists comprise 88 brands of butter. fifteen of which were manufactured by Taranaki companies, and 118 brands of cheese, including twelve from Taranaki.
The Wairoa (Hawke’s Bay) Company heads the butter list for the Dominion with an average grading of 94.701, and the Milton (Otago) Company with an average of 94.142 takes prdic of place in the cheese awards. Tn the respective lists the highest figures for the Taranaki province were secured by the Mangorei and Pihama companies. The following figures show the positions on the lists and the average grading obtained by the Taranaki companies. / BUTTER FACTORIES.
