The South African Prime Minister, General Heritzog, has arrived. In an interriew ;he said itbiait the Union of South Africa did not wish to be anything except a helpful associate in advancing the interests of the British community of nations. The South African delegation intended to apply themselves to tire task of the conference in the spirit of co-operation; seeking Iby united action to promote common, interests. He thought the conference's- main task would be to place cooperation between the member States upon a more ceiltain aind a more satisfactory basis. Given goodwill, courage and faith, it ought to be able to aeieoimElish much, to ensure the permanency of anmony in all our relations in the future.
