NOTICE OP INTENTION TO STRIKE BATES. 1 NOTICE 'IS HEREBY GIYEN that the Hawera Borough Council will, at a 'Special Meeting of the ‘Council 1 o be held at the Borough Council Chambers, situated High Street, Hawera, on TUESDAY, 19th OCTOBER, 1926, at 8 m p.m., make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on I the Ist day of April, 1926, and ending on the 31st day of 'March, 1927, namely;—' a ' A General Rate under Sections 77 and 98 of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of 1.27/100ths of a penny in the £ oil the rateable value of all £ rateable property within the Borough of Hawera on the basis of the unimproved value. A ■ Rate under Section 10 of “The • Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1923,” of .5.10/1 OOths of a penny in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the ; Borough of Hawera on the basis of the annual value. A Water Rate (ordinary supply) nailer .Sections 82 and 86 of ‘‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, ” as follows: — On all lands and buildings within the Borough of Hawera to which
>' water is supplied — (a) "Where the annual rateable value does not exceed £l2 10s, a Lfev': rate of 10s. (b) .Where such value exceeds £ r 10s, a rate of 4 per centum.
