HANDICAPS FOR WEDNESDAY. OPENING OF SEASON. Handicaps have been declared) by Messrs L. H. Clapham (track) and A. L. Palmer (cyclist) for the first evening meeting of the season, to be conducted by the Hawera Amateur Athletic Club on Wednesday evening No .less than 31 entrants have been handicapped for the 880 yards handicap, while 21 will compete in the three heats for the 100 yards. Twenty entries for the half-mile cycle have necessitated tho talcing of this events .in two heats, no less than 19 also having entered for the two miles, cycle.
