A WIN FOR- THE VISITORS

The overnight downpour and the drizzling rain of the morning affected the ground for the Hawke’s BayWellington match. Five thousand spectators were present. The game opened brightly, with Wellington getting the 1 letter of the run of play. After exciting play on the Bay line, a free kick to the visitors; gave relief. The Bay forward® broke away, and Grenside found the line at the corner. From a free kick Ckesney just missed goaling. Even play followed, with the ball for the most part confined! to the forwards.
