WORLD’S CHAMPIONSHIP. ROBIN DEFEATED. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 29. Zbyszko defeated Robin in the return wrestling match to-night for the world’s title by securing a fall in the seventh round. The Town Hall was crowded, the attendance being 2000. Robin attacked fiercely from the start of the first round, and twice forced Zbyszko. to the mat, once with a. head lock and the second time with a body hold and a half Nelson. Each time Zbyszko, after tremendous exertion', struggled free. In the. second round Zbyszko brought Robin down with a leg hold, but Robin broke -free and brought his opponent to the mat with a wrist lock, and just failed to secure a fall. Zbyszko got clear and secured a leg hold, but Robin again shook him off and sent him! down with a wrist- lock.

Robin, who was undoubtedly leading in the first two rounds, kept up the attack in the third and brought Zbyszko down with an arm and wrist lock and turned him, but could not hold him for the required period. Zbyszko them attacked. but Robin evaded his efforts, which included a half Nelson. Zbyszko. in the fourth: round, was warned by the referee for attempting to use a strange hold. Robin brought him down with a bodvhold, but Zbyszko cleverly obtained: the advantage and got a half Nelson and toeboldi on. to Robin, who extricated himself just before the round ended. The beginning of the fifth round , saw Robin drop his opponent with a headlock and almost secure a fall. The referee had his hand upraised l to announce a fall when Zbyszko escaped from the hold. Zbyszko was in further danger from a half Nelson, but got clear just before the end of the round. In the .sixth round Zbyszko fought strenuously to turn Robin with a wrist lock and toehold, but without success. Then Robin for. ed Zbyszko to the mat with a head lock, and amid intense excitement Zbyszko wriggled free. Marly in the seventh round Robin got a head look, but Zbyszko slipped clear as Robin tried to throw him. Robin tried to pin him with a body roll, bub missed, and Zbyszko, getting an arm lock and bodyhold, secured the onlv fall of the bout. •The.eighth and last round were full of excitement, Robin attacking strenuously. but Zbvszko managed to evade a fall.
