TOURISTS FOR HAWERA.
* PROPOSED PERMANENT PING PLAGE The Pacific Tours, Ltd., of San Francisco, has written to the proprietress of the Central Hotel, Hawera., stating that the Californian firm will • bring its fifth escorted party of 30 American tourists to New Zealand next February. The letter indicates 1 the possibility of the party staying in Hawera on about February 14. The Pacific Tours company says that, from its knowledge of the attractions of the locality, and the good accommodation, it will, in the future, make I-fiawera a permanent (falling: pliree, provided it receives the concessions usual to such tours. •
