NEW CLASSES IN SHOW. The Egmont A. and P. Association lias made provision for the inclusion on the schedule for the next annual show of special school pony classes. Tlie idea generally is to. popularise the showing of children’s school ponies, as distinct from the professional show P °The conditions applying to the class are as under. Competitors to be under 16 years of age unless otherwise stated. Spinning ponies in Classes Nos. 161 to 164 inclusive, and Classes 170 to 172 inclusive, are not eligible to compete in Classes 17-5, 176, 177, 178, 186 and 187. ‘ —• All entries in special classes must be bona fide, school ponies. Entries in banner , classes (173 and 174) and in pairs must be from one school. This condition to apply to both ponies and riders. Prizes will be paid in cash immediately after judging. Prizes awarded as follows: Classes 175, 176. 177, 179, ISO, 181, 182, 183, 184, 185, 137—first ss, second 3s, third 2s, fourth Is. Classes 178, 186— championship ribbons. Entry free. All mounted children to ride in the grand parade at 2 p.m. Class 173. —Senior Banner: A banner is to lie presented to the school sending the best matched team of four qinet. educated school ponies, over 124 hands; either boy or girl riders, 12 to 16 years of age. Class 174.—Junior Banner: Conditions as for senior banner, with exception of ponies, which will be 124 hands and under; riders to be under 12 years of age. Class 175. —Educated School Pony: 13 to 144 hands; to carry two children 12 years or over.

Class 176. : —Educated School Pony: 12 and under 13 hands; to carry children under 12 years. Class 177.—Educated School Pony: Under 12 hands; to carry tiny tots eight years and under.

Class 178. —Champion ribbon: For the best educated pony; open to entries in classes 175. 17.6 and 177; to carry two -riders, either boys or girls. Class 179.—Pair poliies: 13 to 144 hands; -riders to be 12 years or over. Class 181.—-Pair ponies: Under 12 under 13 hands ; riders to be under >2 years. Class 181.—Pain ponies: Under 12 hands; rider.s 8 years and under. Class 182. Best pair girl lider-s: 12 years and under; fiat riding (to-be judged; ponies any height. Class* 183.—Best pair -boy riders : 12years and under; flat riding to- be judged; ponies a.ny height. Class ISs.—Best pair girl rider.s : 13 years -and over; flat riding to be judged ; ponies any height. Class 186.—Champion pony: To be ridden in the ring. Cl -ass 187. —Consolation .prize : Best pony in the bunch that has not won a prize at the show; to- be ridden in the ring.
