COMMERCIAL.
WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: — Beef.—Plenty of prime ox and! cow is offering, with prices firm, best ox making 37 s per 100, and) prime cow: and heifer 33s to 345-, with every prospectof a further rise. Fat Sheep.—The market has eased considerably, especially for wethers, dute no doubt to the number offering, with very little prospect of any improvement. Store- Sheep.—There is a good demand f-or store wethers and hoggets, with only a limited number offering. Ewes with lambs at foot are dull -of sale. Store Cattle. —The demand for all classes is firm, and good 1 competition exists for two and three-year -steers, yearling steers, good framed store cows, and well,-grown yearling heifers, ■ especially Jersey -and Jersey cross,. Dairy Cattle. —Good dairy herds and heifers well forward are still' in demand and the supply is only limited; poor and inferior not wanted.
Pigs-.—The yarding® of fat® a?© increasing and price-s, if -anything, are easier. Full yardings of all classes of steers are stiff" coming forward, and the (Remand is firm. Horses—The competition at the Cambridge hots© fair for heavy draughts was only fair. Good young medium active farm sorts were in demand; hacks and harness horses not wanted.
