LONDON, Sept. 19. Critics express the opinion that Delgrosso is not so energetic as Hall, whom he displaced. The handling by the backs was poor in the first half, their defensive play being ineffective, but they considerably improved in the sec* ond half, when they were occasionally brilliant, especially when leading up to Brisbane's try. Davidson was practically starved and had no opportunities of attaining his former excellence.
