-GREEK ATTACK ON THRACE
BY CABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Sept, 19. The Daily Telegraph’s Athens cor re pondent reports that General Pangalosi, ex-Dictator, in an, interview, stated that he had intended to .provoke a quarrel with Turkey and to occupy Eastern Thrace, hut the revolution had upset his plans. He had proposedi to return to Athens on August 25 to arrange for the attack. He- had 1 secured helD in Thrace and freedom from attacks bv other Powers by means of a military offensive agreement with a ■Power he was unable to Mine. It is surmised that the Power was Jugoslavia. There is relief in Greece- that the plan failed. The Government has again declared that it will retain proportional representation and will not postpone the election unless all the parties' desire- it.
