SOCCER.
Tn the final for the Brown Shield, South Auckland (the holders) heat North Auckland and retained their position for 1926. They won by four goals to nil,* all scored in the second spell.
A tribute was paid by Mr. H. Kendall at Manaia. to the excellent sporting spirit shown by Rugby players in Hnwern for the match on June 3. 1925, when Rugby voluntarily offered to play a curtain raiser to a Soccer match, and; he added, it was the best gate ever secured in Ha were.
Manaia in 192-5 had great success, in Seeder. They were champions for the season and also won the Chinese Cup.
