Three little froggies were sent to school, Jiut the way was long and the day was not cool, So they said to each other, “Let’s stay and play A leapfrog and other nice games all day At the edge of the pool where it is cool And think no more of the stuffy old , school.”

Now a pelican watched beside- that pool, And he guessed the three frogs were wagging from school, ) And lie looked, up. .and winked a wink -at the sun With his eyes all twinkly and brim full of fun, And he -laughed “Ha, ha! ha, ha!” laughed he, “I’ll play a good joke on those little frogs three.”

'Then, without making the least bit of sound, He flew over to them -and flopped on the ground , And before those froggies' could utter a- squeak He tucked them all into the hag on his be a k! “That will teach you to stay fromschool away And waste your time in this idle play!”

Then he made a pretence of going to sleep Till he thought he heard the. little frogs weep; So -he opened Iris beak and gave a great yawn, Out popped the frogs looking rather fOTfOT.II, But before you could’ -say the -single word “Knife!” They were hopping to- school as- if for e dear life.
