Hawerai Rotariaos journeyed to Wanganui to play a. return golf miateh with the team from the Wanganui Rbtia.ry Club and, the visitors were successful in retaining the “ashes,” winning by four to two. The players and results were as follows, Hiawera pairs being mentioned first: —O’Oallaghan ,and Salmon beat Meldirum and Gilbert; Sutton and Fletcher beat Baggett and Doig; Bright and Suisted beat Higginbotham! and. Elnderby; Dnlgetty anil Fyson beat Haywood and Niancavrow; Gibson, and DufFill lost to Archdeacon Meredith and Foster; McCarthy and Dr. Thomson lost to Ballingalj and Rice,
The visitors were most hospitably treated, and enjoyed the outing immensely.
