BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. GENEVA Sept. 9. The German, delegation has* arrived. Dr. Stresemann, in an interview, emphasised that with Germany's entry to the League the Locarno agreements became operative. He added: “The Locarno success proves that co-opera-tion and good faith are essentail to the reconstruction of Europe, in which Germany is ready to -assist.” The Germans took their seats* in the Assembly and were welcomed by M. Nintchich. I)r.' Stresemann replied.

Received 11.25 a.m. to-day. GENEVA, Sept. 10. Dr. Stresemann' expressed liis heartfelt thanks for the reception accorded to Germany. It had taken- a long time to overcome the difficulties regarding her admittance. “We are now entering into a close co-operation with our one-time opponents, a step which is perhaps the -most important* ever taken,” he said. Dr. Stresemann urged co-operation in the spirit of Locarno. He read his speech in German in a loud, clear voice, and* the French translation was read l out- directly Dr. Stresemann left the rostrum and the English version followed. The various nationals applauded loudly, and each laid great stress on the importance of disarmament and a permanent Court of International Justice. Now that Germany was a member of the League, Questions arising out of the 1919 peace treaties- could be more easily .settled.
