The attendance wns 1000. The feature of the innings was the bowling of Collins, who captured six wickets for 17 runs. Bennett was the only batsman to make anything of a -stand and’ brought off some nice drives. The batsmen generally were impotent and did not -attempt to hit, and.their efforts to stop the ball were painful to 1 watch. .Their second strike was a bit more lively; Cook; and Musson driving and cutting cleanly and powerfully.. Tlie second wieket yielded 56. Webb and Collins played out time, the game ending in a draw.
