(Labour), who has returned from a visit- to Russia, declares: “1 am more convinced than ever that Russia is the freest country in the world. It- has tremendously progressed since I visited it in 1921. 1 am confident that the economic difficulties will be overcome. Housing conditions are still bad, and there is a discouraging amount of child vagrancy, but the general standard defied comparison.” —Sydney Sun Cable.
