PALMERSTON N., Sept. 3. A (special meeting of the .Chamber of Commerce discussed the position which had arisen in Parliament in opposition to the Agricultural College Bill. Tlbe fallowing motions were carried: (1) “This meeting i.s strongly of the opinion that it is absolutely necessary tliat .no delay .should take place in establishing the agricultural college as .set out by the Government- Bill, following the advice contained in a valuable -report and such being strongly supported by all representative farmers on this coast,” (2) “That thi® -meeting supports the contention 'of the Auckland University Council regarding Government representation on the board, in that it be reduced from five to three members.” .. .. - -
