McGRUER, BONE’S DISPLAY.
• Local enterprise, was very much to the foie last eA’ening, when AlcGruer, Bone and Co., Ltd., by the brilliancy and manner of their display, demonstrated age,in that they can, and. do, supply the people of Hawera and surrounding districts Avith everything that is the newest and most up-to-date in a range equal to the city emporiums. The firm expressed pleasure; At the numbers; of men Avho took the opportunity of viewing, the display, special mention being made of the smart ties, socks and fast oolonnad stripe .shirts. In this Alanohester department a special feature avAs made of ' the L cretonnes, which embodied the very latest designs. Quality vrasi the key-note struck here. The dress and) cotton sections Avere A blaze of colour, the outstanding features being the wide stripe fujis and floral silks, floral and bordered A’oilas, large floAvered artchine and the silk Ottomans. The novelties, laces, and neckwear, that add the required finish as trimmings; Avere shown in the fancy depairtmeit. Tliei millinery, Avhich Avas- tastefully shown, Avas a delight to all Avho visited the showroom, and froni the remarks passed, it as apparent that the children’s hats, mantles and dainty lingerie Avery much admired. To. those Avho did not enter the premises, the artistically decorated windows were an indication of the wealth Avithin. Th'a Hawera Municipal Band was in attendance, and the music supplied; was appreciated by all.
