MANAIA.

ADDRESS TO FARMERS’ UNION, Under the auspices of the Manaia branch of the N.Z. Farmers’ > Union, a lecture given by Mr. P.. Haugh, Government vetenarian, Wanganui, on Monday night. Mr. Hiaugh, took lor his subject, Diseases incidental to calving. He was briefly, introduced by Mr. Dakers, president of Hie branch.

In the course of bis address, the speaker dealt very fully with. oa'lying troubles, milk fever, and mammitis, and at the close was questioned for over alii hour, by a large and interested audience. He was accorded' a hearty vote of thanks by the. president, who expressed hisi pleasure at seeing so many present.

In reply, Mr. Hiaugh stated his willingness to come back to Manaia at some future date. R.S.A. REUNION A meeting of the Manaia, and district -i©turned soldiers was held, on Monday night. Mr. James Anderson presided. There was a very good attendance. The object of the meeting was to, consider the holding of a reunion, of all returned soldiers of Manaia and district similar to those held in different parts of New Zealand. It was resolved, on the motion of [Messrs. S. Greaves and W. Oughton, that a reunion be held on Wednesday, September 22.
