FIRST SLEEPING CAP PLANE.

LONDON, Aug. 30. A historic advance in eross-CharuiH flvi.no was made to-night, when the first 'sleeping car plane arrived at Croydon from Berlin. .It was a. mediumsied 240 horse-power twin-engined German Albatross bip'ane, fitted with silencers. which rendered it capable, ot rushing through the air almost noiselessly. There is accommodation for sleepers in a luxurious electrically illuminated sleeping cabin, in which a uniformed cabin ]>oy is in attendance, while a. washing basin with, running water, and wardrobes and provided at the end of the saloon. In the .day time the berths are convertible to eight seats.
