(From Our Own Correspondent.) j A big crowd was present at the plain and fancy dress ball (held in the hall las* week.’ About a dozen couples took the floor in fancy dress, and tne judges had ta hard job to decide the winner. Eventually their choice fell on “The Golliwogs” (Misses Clemoes and Phillips), which decision was heartily applauded. Novelty and old time dances were put on at intervals during the evening, -and altogether a very enjoyable time was spent. The music was played by Mrs Bennett, extras being supplied by Misses R. Savage and T. ! Dyson. A
