RALLY AT NURNBERG OLD ARMY SPIRIT DOMINATES PROCEEDINGS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. Received' 10.40 a.m. to-day. BERLIN, Aug. . 29. At 4.45 o’clock this afternoon the signal was given for a peal of bells' in all churches in the city of Nurn,berg in honour of those fallen 'in the Great Wiar, for whom memorial services were being held. A forerunning monster rally of German, Nationalists throughout- the country took place on Sunday, headed by Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria, and attended by the ex-Kaiser’s 'son, Prince Oscar of Prussia, Yon Macken, Yon Scheer, Yon Der Goltz, and -a. galaxy of princes, princesses and heroes of the war.
The city was lavishly beflagged with the old Monarchist colours, the streets swarming with officers of the old army wearing pre-war uniforms glittering with decorations and medals.
The Nationalist organ Fraenkischerkurier editorially greets the _ participants in the demonstration with: AYe deliberately reject the cry of no more war, and devote ourselves to fight for the freedom of the Father land.”— Reuter.
