The recent shop conducted hv the Hawora branch of the Plunket Society was wonderfully well supported by the people of the town and district. Goods of all sorts flowed into the shop, and buyers with open purses, readily please< 1 j made it a pleasure to serve them. The shop closed with £OS in hand, to jubilation of the committee. The weight of the sheep was 1131 b; winner, Mr Cowie, Hawera Hospital. Length of wool 30yds Ift; Miss Lowe obtained the baby’s frock, and very kindly handed it back to the society. Seeds in bottle, 1020; nearest, Miss Earle, with 1015, who therefore ivon the lingerie set.
