LICENSING BILL.

(by telegraph —press association.) y WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. - The New Zealand Allianc-e’.S! Standing Committee has passed a lengthy resolution expressing regret and indignation that a Licensing Bill should hiave been introduced that was- almost entirely in. the interests of the liquor traffic, and it appeals to the supporters of Reform to snare no legitimate effort to prevent its* passage, The. Alliance says: “Tt tasks for a fair, deal, and the Bill withholds it.”
