According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the session of the State Parliament opening on September 14 will be a momentous one. Many important Bills figure on the programme. The Government has no intention to introduce new taxes or to increase taxation. Sweeping changes are proposed in the Railway Department, including the reconstitution of the commission, so as to make way for a man of outstanding business ability, with a view to placing the service on a sound financial basis. It is understood the Opposition will move a sweeping censure motion as soon as the House meets.
