v FIRE ON LORRY. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WHAKATANE, Aug. 11. A spanner (striking the terminals of a. battery on a motor lorry owned by George Wilson, of Rnatoki, caused a spark which ignited benzine vapour arising from the filling of the tank at Da'lgety’s premises. Flames shot, up to the roof of the building, which was .scorched. The lorry and goods on it were badly damaged.
