MANY DEATHS REPORTED PORTIONS OF U.S.A. SUFFER RELIEF EXPECTED SOON. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, July 21. The Mickl'e-We stern and Eastern sections of the United States .are sweltering in the first serious heat, wave of 1926. With the temperature irunning close to 100 degrees, a heavy toll of deaths and suffering has been reported. At least 80 deaths Have been recorded since Sunday. The humidity is h'igh, in manv sections, particularly along the Atlantic Coast, making the heat more oppressive. The death list is heaviest in the Middle West, where 50 fatalities have already been reported. There have been eleven deaths in 'Ohio, seven, ’in New York, two in Albany, and eight in the New England States during the past 36 hours. Relief within a few hours from the terrific heat- experienced for three days in. the Middle. Western and! Eastern States and Eastern .'Canada if forecasted in most sections this morning. The death toll is now nearly sixty.
