OPERA HOUSE, FINAL SCREENING
YEW BAIRNSFATHER COMEDY
Captain Brace Bairn sfather, tlie creator of “Old Bill,” whose antics and quaint sayings so delightfuly brightened up the dark days, has written a highlydiverting burlesque introducing Old Bill and hi.s comrades Alf and Bert in an entirely new environment. “Old Bill Through the Ages” is the title, oi this new Bairn slather creation, which opened last evening to a crowded house at. the Hawera Opera House. Brimful of highly diverting situations and produced" on a scale unusual in comedies, “Old Bill Through the Ages” is depicted with all the charm, artistry and delightful comedy of the book. ’ Okl Bill in the picture is just the sanies happy-go-lucky soul that Captain Bruce Bairnsfather meant hint to be. “Old Bill” is preceded by a Paramount picture, “The Trouble with Wives,” which is it comedy of married life that scintillates with newness, a human story that treats the marital situation and its hectic sequences from a laugh angle. Both pictures will ,be finally screened to-night. The box plan is now open at Mrs Cook’s.
