Shrfmpton announces that for several nights past between -5.30 and 9 p.m. he has> been hearing clear and distinct speech on 45 metres, also on about 30 metres, from 2XG De Forrest Telephone and Telegraph Co., New York. The power in use has not yet been ascertained. He- considers that this is a good augury for round the world conversations as a practical thing. ;
