SPORTS ATTRACTIONS.

FOOTBALL FIXTURES, Show Week has always been attractive from a football point of view, and this year’s list of matches is specially good. On Saturday a feature will be one of those secondary school matches which delight the spectators, New Plymouth High School v. Wanganui Technical College. Both have great records for sparkling play, and both are playing specially well this year. Their meeting is certain to. provide a contest which wil he well worth going a long way to see. This match will begin at 1.15 p.m.

Then at 2.45 the Bush Union will play Taranaki .representatives, and this is expected to be a struggle that will keep spectators interested. ■'Oil Wednesday of next week the famous Hawke’s Bay team will be. in Hawera to meet Taranaki on the football ground. The reputation made by the holders of fhe Ranfuvly Shield is such as to ensure a record attendance. Taranaki are playing weE this ytrvr, and should be able to fully extend th*3 redoubtable. Bay men. As a curtain-raiser the Hawera High School team will play New Plymouth Technical College, and this should be a Very interesting contest. Altogether the show-time football will bo, fully on a par with that seen by spectators in the previous years.
