MEDITERRANEAN VISITED. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 1.5 p.m. to-day. LONDON, June 27. Messages from various Eastern Mediterranean countries report several earthquake shocks. Fortunately the loss of life wag small, but the damage co property was considerable. The lighthouse at the southern extremity of Rhodes Island collapsed, and at Alexandria cracks appeared in many large buildings.
